HA2357 Caesar Guerini Invictus-V Sporting, Adjustable Comb, O/U, 12 Ga., 2 3/4", 30"MC Bbls., New-In-Case, $9,330*

For a full page of  photographs and a detailed description click the photo above or click here.

Caesar Guerini Says:  In 2014, as a result of our ongoing pursuit to make the most durable Target shotgun possible, we created the Invictus system. This design ushered in the most significant advancement in over-under durability in many years. For 2016 we are introducing the DPS2 trigger system in the new Invictus V Sporting. The system provides a remarkable improvement in weight, speed and take-up resulting in an ultra-crisp feel. We invite our customers to compare it to any target shotgun available today.  All of the technology in the Invictus V Sporting is complimented by the graceful side plate action with full-coverage engraving. This embellishment employs no fewer than four different engraving techniques, including many hours of hand engraving. The result is a stunning example of contemporary Italian Ornato style engraving with deep relief game scenes. The Invictus V is quite simply the perfect synthesis of technology and art.

Hero's Arms Says:  This is an inexpensive shotgun when you consider that you will never have to replace it no matter how much you shoot. It is available only from Caesar Guerini Elite Dealers. It has nicely figured wood, an Adjustable Comb, a new engraving pattern and a Length of Pull adjustable between 14 3/4" and 15 1/8".  Its 30 inch barrels have 2 3/4" chambers, and it has all the features common to Caesar Guerini Sporting shotguns.  An excellent explanation of the new mechanism in the Invictus is in an article in Shotgun Life by Nick Sisley.  This is a revolutionary shotgun.

Hero's Arms Says:  This Krieghoff K20 Sporter Combo was built in 2008 and seems hardly used. I purchased it from a gentleman whose arthritis kept him from shooting. There is one small ding on the stock on the left side near the bottom and recoil pad which is the only defect I can find.  Both the 20 Ga. and 28 Ga. barrels are 30" long.  It comes with 5 choke tubes in each gauge, in the 20 there is an Improved Modified, Modified, Improved Cylinder, Improved Cylinder and Skeet, in the 28 Ga. there is an Improved Modified, Modified, Improved Cylinder, Skeet and Skeet. The wood has a spectacular marbled look.  It has a slight cast on, 1/8" to the right, and a right hand palm swell.  An outstanding gun for hunting, skeet or sporting clays.

HA2341 Caesar Guerini Ellipse Curve, O/U, 20 Ga., 2 3/4" & 3", 28"MC Bbls., New-In-Case, $7,050*

For a full page of  photographs and a detailed description click the photo above or click here.

Caesar Guerini Says:  The world’s best shotguns can cost as much as a quarter of a million dollars and take years to make. The engraving alone can account for up to one third of the price. The result is a shotgun that combines art and function in a way that few man-made objects can match. As wonderful and fascinating as these firearms are, they are little more than an unapproachable luxury item that is out of reach for the average hunter. What if a company could use modern technology to make a shotgun that had the same qualities? That is the concept behind the new Ellipse Curve.

The Curve is based off of Caesar Guerini’s Ellipse round body action. This type of action not only provides a clean uncluttered look, but also makes for a trim profile. It’s these trim lines that make the Curve a responsive and natural pointing bird gun. Combine responsive handling with Caesar Guerini’s reputation for reliability and you have the makings of a world-class shotgun. However, that is not the whole story with the Curve. The engraving is also groundbreaking in quality. The execution is of a level that has only recently become achievable through the most cutting edge technology. It is this combination of art and technology that allows the Curve to reach this level of craftsmanship at a fraction of the cost.

Hero's Arms Says:  This is a beautifully engraved Caesar Guerini Ellipse Curve, only available from Caesar Guerini Elite dealers.  It has 28", 2 3/4" & 3", barrels with solid top and mid ribs, 5 nickel plated Selecta choke tubes in Full, Improved Modified, Modified, Improved Cylinder and Skeet constrictions. Other are available from Caesar Guerini.  I believe the lady depicted on the bottom of the receiver is Diana, the Roman goddess of the hunt, but I have never seen her in person.  It weighs six pounds nine ounces.  All in all this is an elegant hunting gun, useful also for Skeet and Sporting Clays.

For a full page of  photographs and a detailed description click the photo above or click here.

Caesar Guerini Says:  Description: Fast as a grouse’s wing tip, sleek as a pheasant’s tail feather - The new Caesar Guerini Ellipse EVO represents the next generation of upland game gun. With graceful rounded action and streamlined stock it handles, feels and looks like the world's best handmade round body shotguns. We obsessed over every detail from the engraving created to accentuate the curve of the action to something as obscure as the shape of the trigger. This is not a quick makeover of our existing models; the barrels, action and stock are all different. The Ellipse is simply the evolution of the fine over-and-under hunting gun

Hero's Arms Says:  This is a special order 28 Gauge Ellipse Evo, usually they do not come in 28 Gauge stand alone versions. It is an elegant shotgun with exceptional engraving and exceptional wood with a hand rubbed oil finish,.  28 Ga., 2 3/4", 28"  barrels, five chokes in Full, Improved Modified, Modified, Improved Cylinder, and Cylinder constrictions.  It has a manual (non-automatic) safety making it suitable for skeet and sporting clays as well as hunting. It has a solid top and mid rib which keep twigs and other debris out.  It has  a 14 3/4" Length of Pull over a checkered wood butt plate.  It has a single non-selective trigger, the bottom barrel always fires first.  It has full coverage engraving.

For a full page of  photographs and a detailed description click the photo above or click here.

Caesar Guerini Says:  Some shooters accuse Caesar Guerini of focusing on the cosmetics of our guns. Our reply is ”guilty as charged”. It is our policy to pursue excellence in all aspects of our firearms, both what can be seen and what you experience when you pull the trigger. The Challenger grade has been designed to appeal to the target shooter with a bold Acanthus leaf pattern on a fine Inglesina scroll background. All of the hand polished coin finished metal surfaces are finished in Invisalloy® protective finish for years of carefree service. Additionally, the new Challenger comes standard with the DTS trigger system that reduces trigger pull weight and creep. The aesthetics of a gun might not be the most important issue, but life is too short to shoot an ugly gun.

Hero's Arms Says:  This is a very complete package, perfect for skeet or sporting clays completions. It is extremely adjustable to fit the right handed shooter. It weighs 9 pounds 2 ounces with the Kinetic Balancer installed in the stock, 9 pounds 14.5 ounces with a set of sub-gauge tubes installed.  The adjustable rib goes from 50/50 to 90/10. There are also barrel weights to further adjust the center of gravity.  It has a 14 7/8" Length of Pull, adjustable to 15 1/8" by moving the trigger.  It comes with six Maxis 12 Gauge Chokes, 2 each in Improved Cylinder, Skeet and Cylinder constrictions.  You could add a Full and Improved Modified and shoot trap with it as well.  The Briley Sub-Gauge tubes come with four choke tubes each. One gun for every target sport.

HA1894 Browning Belgian Superposed Grade V (Diana) 2 Barrel Combo, 12 Ga., 2 3/4" 28"IC/IC, and 12 Ga., 2 3/4" 26 3/8" SK/SK, Cased, (Used 99%), Cased, $6,995

For a full page of  photographs and a detailed description click the photo above or click here.

This Browning Grade V (Diana) combo, first sold in 1956, is in exceptional condition.  There are a few very minor dings in the wood but the bluing and engraving are near mint.  It came originally with a 28 inch barrel set, barrel 1, choked Full and Modified.  These barrels were later opened up to Improved Cylinder and Improved Cylinder (Briley choke tubes could be installed if desired to get back to Full and Modified).  The second barrel set, 26 3/8" in Skeet and Skeet constrictions, barrel 2, was installed later by Browning and numbered to the gun.  A Limbsaver recoil pad has been mounted but the original Browning pad is in the case.  The Length of Pull with the original pad is the correct 14 1/4", with the Limbsaver it is 14 1/2". It has a Prince of Wales (Round Knob) Long Tang configuration. The wood is nicely figured. The Browning case is in good condition and contains the original owner’s manual numbered to the gun.  The deeply incised engraving by Browning Master Engraver Doyen is exceptionally beautiful - I personally prefer the Grade V deeply incised engraving to the earlier and later Diana styles.  I shot a round of skeet with the 26 3/8" barrels and the gun functioned flawlessly.  This is a real collector’s dream, which could also be used for hunting, skeet or sporting clays.

HA1301 Browning Pre-War Superposed, Midas Level Upgrade, Double Single Triggers, English Stock, 12 Ga., 2 3/4" 30"IC/M Bbls., Cased, $6,995

For a full page of  photographs and a detailed description click the photo above or click here.

The receiver for this Superposed was probably manufactured in 1932, but it was first sold in 1936 for $59.46.  As it left the factory it was a standard grade with specially ordered Improved Cylinder and Modified choking, and twin single triggers. (Browning Factory Letter) Unlike most double trigger guns the front trigger will fire first the bottom then reset itself and fire the top barrel,  The rear trigger will fire the top barrel, then one must use the front trigger to fire the bottom barrel.  One can also use it just like a normal double trigger gun. It has a solid rib and the "horseshoe" bracket on the front of the forearm, which distinguishes it from later versions of the Superposed.  In 1984 it was purchased by Thomas Grogg, an engraver, who engraved it and put in solid 18 Karat gold inlays and lines.  On the left side of the receiver is a Mallard, the right side is a Canada Goose. On the pre-1936 Midas Superposed there were pigeons on both sides of the receiver, so this is not a copy or an attempt to fake being a Midas Grade, but a Midas level upgrade.  After it was engraved in 1984 it was reblued and refinished by a gunsmith who formerly ran the Browning refinishing shop. There was some cracking in the finish of the stock, as was normal for Brownings of that era, so it was refinished with an oil finish by Klaus Hiptmayer who also refreshed the engraving. There is probably more than a thousand dollars worth of gold in this gun.  Grogg's signature is on the lower right side of the receiver just behind the pivot pin.  It has two recoil pads, a Pachmayr Old English, and a Browning Vent Rubber pad.  I purchased it from Grogg. The gun has had about 200 rounds fired since 1984

HA1815 Browning Citori Privilege Sideplate, O/U, 12 Ga., 2 3/4" & 3", 28"MC Bbls., (Used 99%), $2,995

For a full page of  photographs and a detailed description click the photo above or click here.

Browning Says:  Fully embellished side plates depict ringneck pheasants flushing from under a pointer on the left side and lighting woodcocks on the right. A unique, delicately connected checkering pattern enhances the beauty of the hand-oiled, high-grade American Walnut Schnabel forearm and pistol grip buttstock. The take-down lever and top lever feature beautifully subtle Engraving and a sterling silver oval is fit in the stock between the grip and toe allowing the Engraving of a three-letter monogram.  Low-post rib.

Hero's Arms Says:  This Browning Citori Privilege was built in 2001 and appears to be unfired.  It comes in the original box and shows no wear and very minor handling marks, a couple of tiny dings on the toe of the stock near the recoil pad, and a couple of 1/4" slight indentations on the left side of the stock near the recoil pad.  Two of the sideplate screws show a bit of damage from the wrong screwdriver being used, and the Stock Oval has had a former owner's initials engraved.  Hero's Arms has added a spare blank Stock Oval should you wish to replace it.  It is 12 Gauge  with 3" Chambers for 2 3/4" & 3" shells, 28" Barrels with three Invector Plus choke tubes in Full, Modified, and Improved Cylinder constrictions.  Other Invector Plus chokes are widely available. This is truly an all-around shotgun for hunting, clays or collecting.

HA1440 Caesar Guerini Maxum Sporting, O/U, 12 Ga., 2 3/4", 32"MC Bbls, New-In-Case, $6,295

For a full page of  photographs and a detailed description click the photo above or click here.

Caesar Guerini says:  The Maxum Sporting is truly a stunning over/under shotgun. The deep relief gothic scroll hand finished engraving on the receiver, side plates, and fore-end assembly make this sporting gun unique among others on the clays course. The handwork and design are from the studios of the world renowned Italian engraving house, Bottega Incisioni C. Giovanelli. The coin finish frame is painstakingly hand polished. Balancing the beauty of the deeply sculpted engraving is a deluxe grade of Turkish walnut, featuring precision cut 26 lines-per-inch checkering and a natural oil finish, hand rubbed to a sheen that enhances the highly figured wood grain. 12 gauge models feature the new Maxis Bore/Choke System. * The DueCon forcing cones are a unique dual conical long forcing cone system designed by Caesar Guerini to produce optimum performance and maximum versatility. The first conical section maximizes chamber pressure and permits the use of fiber wad ammunition. The secondary 4.5" long forcing cone section reduces recoil and increases pattern uniformity. * The adjustable trigger moves up to 1/2" to accommodate different hand sizes and incorporates an external adjustment for take-up. * A Boss style ejector system with oversized cams ensures positive shell ejection and disc retainers provide strength.
* Each gun is carefully balanced approximately 1cm in front of the hinge pin to offer more stability than an upland model. * A stock wrench included for removing the stock without removing the recoil pad. * Each Maxum Sporting comes with six CCP (Crowned Conical Parallel) competition extended chokes (CYL, SK, 2-IC, LM, M) tuned for sporting clays with: conical-parallel interior design, crowned muzzle, polished interior, knurling, and thread design that prevents them from coming loose during use. Plastic choke case included. * A select grade Turkish walnut stock with a traditional high luster oil finish and palm swell on the pistol grip. Stocks are 14.75 inches long to allow for proper fitting. * The barrels have ventilated center ribs for rapid cooling, 10mm parallel target top rib and double beads. * A hard case is included with every Caesar Guerini sporting over/under.

Hero's Arms Says:   This is one knock-out gun. Put it together with the 3 Gauge Maxum set and you would have all four gauges. Dynamic Tuning System weights for stock and barrel are available from Hero's Arms.  It has a slight right-hand palm swell and a slight (1/8") cast off for a right handed shooter.  Left hand stocks are available from Caesar Guerini.
