For a full page of  photographs and a detailed description click the photo above or click here.

Benelli Says:   The ETHOS is an elegant semi-automatic shotgun that is the culmination of Benelli’s latest innovations, refinements and design superiority, all centered around the core—Inertia Driven® System. Progressive Comfort recoil reduction system incorporates three sets of patented interlocking flexible buffers that absorb recoil at different stages dependent on the strength of the shotshell’s load. Beautifully figured AA-Grade walnut stock. Cycles the lightest loads, even 7/8 ounce The updated dynamic Inertia Driven® System improves cycling speed, reliability and the ability to cycle loads from 7/8 oz. to 3-inch Magnums. Improved ergonomics. Two-part carrier latch for quick and easy loading.

Hero's Arms Says:   This Benelli Ethos has had only a few boxes of shells shot through it and is in "As-New-In-Case" condition.  The previous owner found it too light for continuous skeet shooting.  It is basically a hunting gun, though with 7/8 ounce loads it could be used for skeet or sporting clays.  It has a 14 3/8" Length of pull, and cast and drop are adjustable with the included spacers.

HA2380 Browning Citori 725 Field, Ambidextrous, O/U, 28 Ga., 2 3/4", 28"MC Bbls. New-In-Box, Special $1,795

For a full page of  photographs and a detailed description click the photo above or click here.

Browning Says: Gloss oil finish, checkered walnut, engraved low-profile steel receiver, mechanical trigger, Inflex recoil pad, Invector-DS chokes, over under shotgun. Balance. Form. Excellence. The Citori 725 Field is the standard by which all other over and unders are judged. Total functional excellence. is the evolution of John M. Browning’s legendary B25 Superposed, now with the modern performance advantage of a Low-Profile receiver. The new 725 receiver is significantly lower than other Citori 12 gauge receivers, yet the 725 shares the renowned durability of generations of Citori over and unders with the same rugged full-width hinge pin and tapered locking bolt design. If you only have one over and under -- be one with it. With a 725, you get the "one with the gun" feeling you want, with the long lasting durability you expect from a Browning over and under. And the features don't stop there. The 725 showcases an all-new Mechanical Trigger (FireLite) that offers unmatched feel and lighter pull weights than ever before. Inflex Technology has also been added to make shooting more comfortable. And the new Invector-DS choke system moves to a new level of performance. Experience the benefits these improvements can do for your shooting with a new Citori 725.

Hero's Arms Says:  I got a few of these at a good price, so I am selling them for below wholesale price.  The 725 Field weighs 7 pounds 2 ounces so recoil won't be a problem with the 28 Gauge shells and Inflex II recoil pad.   It has a 14 1/4" Length of Pull.  It has no cast and no palm swell so it is ambidextrous, equally good for left and right handed shooters.  It comes with standard Invector Choke Tubes in Full, Modified and Improved Cylinder constrictions.  Others are easy to find.  (Invector DS chokes are only for 12 & 20 Gauge 725s, 28 & 410 use standard Invector.)  The receiver is engraved with a game scene on both sides.  It has both front and mid bead sights on its 28" barrel.  This gun is good for hunting, skeet and sporting clays.  I don't think they will be around long at this price.

HA2379 Marble's Model 21 Game Getter, Folding Stock, O/U, .22 S/L/LR over .410 Bore, 2 1/2" or GG 44, 18"Bbls., (Used 98%), $2,995

For a full page of  photographs and a detailed description click the photo above or click here.

This Marble's Model 21 Game Getter was purchased in 1929 by my wife's great uncle, James Eccles for his wife Mary.  It has descended through the family to my wife.  Considering its 88 year life, so far, it is in excellent shape.  It may not have been fired, the bores are mirror. It comes with the original Box, the original Owner's Manual, both numbered to the gun, and a copy of the 1929 registration card from Marble's Archives.  The gun shows some holster wear on the end of the barrels and on sharp edges of the receiver.  This is not a restricted or NFA weapon  "the 18" barrel variation was administratively removed from the NFA in 1939 by the Bureau of Internal Revenue after determining that it was not concealable on the person."  The top barrel is chambered for 22 Short, Long or Long Rifle cartridges, the bottom barrel accepts 410 2 1/2" Shot Shells/Rifled Slugs, or 44 Game Getter Ball cartridges (which you probably won't find at Wall Mart).  It has a blade front sight, and a combination U shaped or Peep, rear sight.  The gun breaks open by pulling back on the trigger guard. A single extractor lifts the shells from both chambers.  The Hammer Face pivots up or down to select the barrel to be fired.  It has no safety, but the hammer must be manually cocked before it will fire.  This is an authentic collectors piece, and would be handy to have as a survival rifle/shotgun if society falls apart as some expect.

HA2341 Caesar Guerini Ellipse Curve, O/U, 20 Ga., 2 3/4" & 3", 28"MC Bbls., New-In-Case, $7,050*

For a full page of  photographs and a detailed description click the photo above or click here.

Caesar Guerini Says:  The world’s best shotguns can cost as much as a quarter of a million dollars and take years to make. The engraving alone can account for up to one third of the price. The result is a shotgun that combines art and function in a way that few man-made objects can match. As wonderful and fascinating as these firearms are, they are little more than an unapproachable luxury item that is out of reach for the average hunter. What if a company could use modern technology to make a shotgun that had the same qualities? That is the concept behind the new Ellipse Curve.

The Curve is based off of Caesar Guerini’s Ellipse round body action. This type of action not only provides a clean uncluttered look, but also makes for a trim profile. It’s these trim lines that make the Curve a responsive and natural pointing bird gun. Combine responsive handling with Caesar Guerini’s reputation for reliability and you have the makings of a world-class shotgun. However, that is not the whole story with the Curve. The engraving is also groundbreaking in quality. The execution is of a level that has only recently become achievable through the most cutting edge technology. It is this combination of art and technology that allows the Curve to reach this level of craftsmanship at a fraction of the cost.

Hero's Arms Says:  This is a beautifully engraved Caesar Guerini Ellipse Curve, only available from Caesar Guerini Elite dealers.  It has 28", 2 3/4" & 3", barrels with solid top and mid ribs, 5 nickel plated Selecta choke tubes in Full, Improved Modified, Modified, Improved Cylinder and Skeet constrictions. Other are available from Caesar Guerini.  I believe the lady depicted on the bottom of the receiver is Diana, the Roman goddess of the hunt, but I have never seen her in person.  It weighs six pounds nine ounces.  All in all this is an elegant hunting gun, useful also for Skeet and Sporting Clays.

SKB Says:  SKB 200 High Rib Target SxS  Features 24 line hand checkered. Left Hand Cast Stocks Available On Limited 200HR Models. All side by side shotguns are equipped with the flush fit thin wall choke tube system. Accessory, Extended style, choke tubes are available. Raised Ventilated Rib With Matted Radial Cut Pattern. Target Sights Center Bead and White Front Bead. Pistol Grip Stock with Pachmayr SC100 Pad. Schnabel Forend. The trigger plate action features a non-selectable single trigger with a firing sequence of right then left barrel. Our crisp feeling trigger is a combination of the length of travel and applied finger pressure to release the hammer. As the trigger is pulled rearward, the sear tail lifts vertically; releasing the sear from the hammer. Simultaneously the V-shaped hammer spring propels the hammer forward providing nearly instantaneous lock time. The slender barrel profiles and reduced barrel weight are obtained by utilizing a platform lump mount and thin wall choke tubes. The platform lump utilizes a double under locking lug providing a solid engagement between the barrel and receiver.

Hero's Arms Says:  This is an elegant, beautifully crafted 20 Gauge side by side, suitable for competition or hunting.  It has a beautiful case colored receiver, attractive Turkish Walnut furniture, and blued barrels. The slope of the High Rib makes it shoot slightly above the point of aim, Approximately 60%/40%, making it good for target sports as well as hunting.  It comes with five Flush Thin Wall choke tubes in Full, Improved Modified, Modified, Improved Cylinder and Skeet constrictions.  Other chokes, both flush and extended are available from SKB.  It has a 14 5/8" Length of Pull over a Decelerator Sporting recoil pad (a hard plastic insert at the top allows for quick shouldering without snagging).

HA2325 Browning Citori Lightning, Grade 1, O/U, .410 Bore, 2 1/2 & 3", 28"MC Bbls., (Used 99.9%), $1,595

For a full page of  photographs and a detailed description click the photo above or click here.

Browning Says:  The lightning-style rounded pistol grip offers a more open grip than full pistol grip designs. Many shooters feel this gives a slight speed-to-shoulder advantage. It represents a midpoint in design between ultra-speedy straight grips and extremely stable full pistol grips. If offers excellent control for whatever you are after -- fast-flying waterfowl, upland game or just shooting fun. Matching the rounded pistol grip is the forearm. It is nicely rounded at the fore-end and together, they give the name to this over under gun as "Lightning Style," or in this case, the Citori Lightning model. As to the finish . . . The Citori Lightning over under shotgun features deeply blued barrels, receiver, top lever and trigger guard -- and gloss finished walnut stock. The trigger is gold in the classic Browning tradition. The checkering is a fine line 24 per inch cut that is true Browning with its sharpness and precision. This look and quality has long been the choice of serious hunters and gun writers. There is simply nothing to criticize. The look and feel. The absence of a recoil pad adds to the graceful look of its profile, and, of course, saves weight. Reduced weight is one of the primary advantages of this model. Plus, the general look of the Citori Lightning has its roots in early Browning Superposed shotguns -- from which this model evolved. It simply looks and shoots fantastically.

Hero's Arms Says: A local gentleman purchased this gun in 2016, fired it a few times and found that he couldn't break as many birds as he wished with it.  It has picked up a small scratch in the finish on the left side of the stock, and a tiny scratch on top, reducing its condition to 99.9%.  Other than these it is essentially new.  It is an attractive 410 Bore for Skeet, Sporting Clays, or hunting.

 HA2138 Beretta A400 Xplor Action, Kick-Off, Left Hand, Gas Semi-Auto, 12 Ga., 2 3/4" & 3", 28"MC Bbl., New-In-Case, $1,495

For a full page of  photographs and a detailed description click the photo above or click here.

Beretta Says:  A400 Xplor Action: Semiauto Versatility, Classic Looks The A400 Xplor Action is a semi-automatic shotgun that will be equally at home on an upland, duck or deer hunt as well as at the clay range. It incorporates all the advantages of the revolutionary A400 concept--low profile action, light weight, lightning-fast follow-up shots, low recoil, easy maintenance--and combines them with the classic looks of blue steel and walnut stock. But even here, Beretta has an eye towards innovation, offering updated lines and checkering, as well as a contrasting-color receiver. Available in 12, 20 and 28 gauge, the A400 Xplor Action defines performance and versatility in a semiauto. Fast, Versatile, Trim Action The A400 is a gas-operated action that was built for speed, reliability and versatility. Featuring the Blink technology, it is capable of firing 4 shells in less than 1 second, giving you the fastest follow-up shots of any shotgun on the market. Also, with this shotgun you can safely fire lead and steel shot, as well as chamber the best shell for the job regardless of length (2 ¾” to 3”) or power (mild for target to hard-hitting for hunting). Last but not least, the A400 action is light and trim, making this shotgun’s balance, swing and pointability an absolute best in its class. Updated Classic Looks, Easy Maintenance With its bronze-colored receiver, its classic Beretta blue barrel and its select walnut stock, the A400 Xplor Action is an elegant piece of gear that will figure very nicely even next to a premium over-under. The checkering is fine, giving you secure purchase while pointing and shooting, and on the fore-end it features the Beretta Trident logo for an updated look. Keeping this shotgun as good as new after a long day on the field or at the range is quick and easy: you can field-strip the A400 Xplor without any tools, and it comes apart in only five components that are a snap to reassemble. All these features make the A400 Xplor Action the best and most versatile wood-blue semiauto shotgun for a variety of hunting and sporting purposes.  Advanced Recoil Reducing DevicesRecoil-Reducing-Devices. While only weighing 6.7 lbs max (12-ga), the A400 Xplor Action features multiple recoil-reducers that greatly diminish the impact of each shot on your shoulder (by as much as 70%). Inside the stock, there are hydraulic shock-absorbers that--much like in a modern luxury car--absorb the impact of any sudden bump, giving your shoulder a “smooth ride.” Also, the buttpad’s Micro-Core technology adds extra softness between you and any recoil that is left, while still allowing the shotgun to slide up effortlessly to your shoulder without the gummy friction of other pads

Hero's Arm's Says:  This is a light (7 pounds 2 ounce) Left-Handed Gas Semi-Auto, with the Kick-Off system..  The stock has no cast but it has a Cast & Drop spacer, it ejects to the left, and the safety operates from the left. It comes with three Optima Bore HP choke tubes in Full, Modified, and Cylinder constrictions.  The wood has been treated by Beretta's Xtra Grain process so it looks like it is more highly figured.  It has a 14 1/4" Length of Pull, and a 5 pound 14 ounce trigger pull.  This is an all around gun, good for hunting, but could also be used for clay target sports.

HA1894 Browning Belgian Superposed Grade V (Diana) 2 Barrel Combo, 12 Ga., 2 3/4" 28"IC/IC, and 12 Ga., 2 3/4" 26 3/8" SK/SK, Cased, (Used 99%), Cased, $6,995

For a full page of  photographs and a detailed description click the photo above or click here.

This Browning Grade V (Diana) combo, first sold in 1956, is in exceptional condition.  There are a few very minor dings in the wood but the bluing and engraving are near mint.  It came originally with a 28 inch barrel set, barrel 1, choked Full and Modified.  These barrels were later opened up to Improved Cylinder and Improved Cylinder (Briley choke tubes could be installed if desired to get back to Full and Modified).  The second barrel set, 26 3/8" in Skeet and Skeet constrictions, barrel 2, was installed later by Browning and numbered to the gun.  A Limbsaver recoil pad has been mounted but the original Browning pad is in the case.  The Length of Pull with the original pad is the correct 14 1/4", with the Limbsaver it is 14 1/2". It has a Prince of Wales (Round Knob) Long Tang configuration. The wood is nicely figured. The Browning case is in good condition and contains the original owner’s manual numbered to the gun.  The deeply incised engraving by Browning Master Engraver Doyen is exceptionally beautiful - I personally prefer the Grade V deeply incised engraving to the earlier and later Diana styles.  I shot a round of skeet with the 26 3/8" barrels and the gun functioned flawlessly.  This is a real collector’s dream, which could also be used for hunting, skeet or sporting clays.

HA1301 Browning Pre-War Superposed, Midas Level Upgrade, Double Single Triggers, English Stock, 12 Ga., 2 3/4" 30"IC/M Bbls., Cased, $6,995

For a full page of  photographs and a detailed description click the photo above or click here.

The receiver for this Superposed was probably manufactured in 1932, but it was first sold in 1936 for $59.46.  As it left the factory it was a standard grade with specially ordered Improved Cylinder and Modified choking, and twin single triggers. (Browning Factory Letter) Unlike most double trigger guns the front trigger will fire first the bottom then reset itself and fire the top barrel,  The rear trigger will fire the top barrel, then one must use the front trigger to fire the bottom barrel.  One can also use it just like a normal double trigger gun. It has a solid rib and the "horseshoe" bracket on the front of the forearm, which distinguishes it from later versions of the Superposed.  In 1984 it was purchased by Thomas Grogg, an engraver, who engraved it and put in solid 18 Karat gold inlays and lines.  On the left side of the receiver is a Mallard, the right side is a Canada Goose. On the pre-1936 Midas Superposed there were pigeons on both sides of the receiver, so this is not a copy or an attempt to fake being a Midas Grade, but a Midas level upgrade.  After it was engraved in 1984 it was reblued and refinished by a gunsmith who formerly ran the Browning refinishing shop. There was some cracking in the finish of the stock, as was normal for Brownings of that era, so it was refinished with an oil finish by Klaus Hiptmayer who also refreshed the engraving. There is probably more than a thousand dollars worth of gold in this gun.  Grogg's signature is on the lower right side of the receiver just behind the pivot pin.  It has two recoil pads, a Pachmayr Old English, and a Browning Vent Rubber pad.  I purchased it from Grogg. The gun has had about 200 rounds fired since 1984

HA2074 Browning Citori 725 Field, O/U, .410 Bore, 2 1/2" & 3", 28"MC Bbls., New-in-Box, $2, 095

For a full page of  photographs and a detailed description click the photo above or click here.

Browning Says:  Unique to the 725 Field model: Signature 725 rounded fore arm with subtle palm rest is both comfortable and stylish • Ivory front and mid-bead sights for excellent target acquisition. Accented high relief Engraving on the receiver for a traditional elegant look. Three Invector-DS extend choke tubes (Full, Modified, Improved Cylinder). Beautiful Grade II/III Walnut. Receiver The Low-Profile steel receiver of the Citori 725 is a triumph of modern design without sacrificing traditional strength, keeping the full-hinge pin and tapered locking bolt design that makes a Citori superior to weaker trunnion designs. The silver nitride finish on the receiver is as tough as it is beautiful. Barrel Ventilated top rib provides a horizontal sighting plane, reduced heat mirage, and a classic sporting look. Vector Pro lengthened forcing cones provide improved shot patterns and superior durability, even with steel shot. Action: The Fire Lite Mechanical Trigger system design features reduced take up, a crisp break, and shorter over travel, resulting in a high performance trigger that doesn't require inertia to reset. Hammer ejectors quickly and reliably clear the chambers for quick reloading. Top-tang barrel selector/safety allow you to verify the status of the gun without unshouldering it. Stock: Close radius pistol grip and palm swell with detailed checkering and classic lines for beauty without sacrificing function. Inflex recoil pad absorbs and deflects recoil away from the shooter's cheek, allowing you to shoot comfortably for longer periods of time.

Hero's Arms Says:  This is an attractive 410 Bore suitable for hunting, skeet or sporting clays.   The wood is nicely figured, the rolled engraving enhances the looks of the gun.  It has the Fire Lite mechanical trigger and low profile receive of all Citori 725s, but it uses standard Invector chokes, widely available, rather than the Invector DS chokes used on the 12 and 20 gauge 725s.  This is a nice 410.

FEATURES – Three Midas grade extended Invector Plus choke tubes (F,M,IC); Triple Trigger System with one trigger supplied; Ivory front and mid bead sights; Polymer recoil pad.

Hero's Arms Says:  This is an all around shotgun, good for skeet, sporting clays trap or hunting.  And, it is very reasonably priced.  It has a 14 7/16" Length of Pull, slightly adjustable by moving the trigger forward or back.  It weighs 8 pounds 4 ounces, which will soak up the recoil from a day's shooting or a heavy hunting load.  The high vent rib has a distinct forward slope giving it a 60/40 point of impact (60% of the shot is above the point of aim, 40% below allowing for "floating" the target.)  It comes with three Midas Grade extended Invector Plus Choke tubes in Full, Modified and Improved Cylinder, and Hero's Arms has added a Skeet tube (a $50 retail value) for a total of four.  It has a right hand palm swell, but no cast.  It is not ported so could easily be used for hunting.  This is a winner.

Immediately upon shouldering the Cynergy Feather, exclamations such as "Wow, this is light!" And, "Oooo, this swings really nice!" Who wants to carry a club in the field?

This SKB 500, imported by Mitsui in the early 1980s, has seen very little use.  It appears to be in "As-New-In-Box" condition in its original box.  It is a light, six pound 8 ounce, upland hunting gun with fixed full and modified choke constrictions.  It is especially well suited to the smaller shooter with its 13 15/16" Length of Pull.  It has the legendary SKB modified Greener cross-bolt lockup, one of the strongest around.  It has the original hard plastic SKB butt plate, ideal for quick mounting.  It could also be used for Skeet of Sporting Clays.

Browning Says:  RECEIVER Lightweight alloy with steel breech face and hinge pin • Low-Profile • Silver nitride finish • Accented, high-relief Engraving BARREL Ventilated top rib ACTION Fire Lite Mechanical Trigger system • Hammer ejectors • Top-tang barrel selector/safety STOCK Gloss oil finish Grade II/III Walnut with close radius pistol grip FEATURES Vector Pro lengthened forcing cones • Three Invector-DS choke tubes • Ivory front and mid-bead sights

Hero's Arms Says:  At 6 pounds 9 ounces this is an exceptionally light hunting gun.  You could also use it for occasional clay target shooting, but its light weight would make recoil unbearable in competition.  It chambers both 2 3/4" and 3" shells in its 28" barrels, and comes with Invector DS Choke tubes in Full, Modified, and Improved  Cylinder.  It has a 14 1/4" Length of Pull over an Inflex 2 Sporting recoil pad which has a slippery top for snag free mounting.

HA1741 Browning Cynergy Field, Walnut, Adjustable LOP,  O/U, 12 Ga. 2 3/4" & 3", 26"MC Bbls., (Used 99%+), $1,795.

For a full page of  photographs and a detailed description click the photo above or click here.

This Browning Cynergy Field was made in 2005 and has seen little use.  It basically looks and feels like new, with a couple of tiny marks on the bottom of the forearm.   It is currently set up with a medium Inflex recoil pad so the Length of Pull is 14 1/8" (or 14 3/8" with spacer) making it suitable for an average shooter around 5'6" to 5'10" tall.  I will however set it up and ship it with any length of pull between 13 5/8" and 15 3/8"  as desired for the same price.    It comes with flush Invector Plus chokes, Full, Modified, Improved Cylinder and 2 Skeet constrictions (added by Hero's Arms).   This gun could be used by a 5 foot 13 year old and will still fit when she is a 6'5" basketball player.  It can be used for anything, upland hunting, waterfowl, skeet, sporting clays or trap, truly a one gun solution.
